Six Feet Under. It was weird, funny, dramatic, sad, crazy, creepy, etc. I miss it so. It was where Rain Wilson got his start -- he was even weirder as "Arthur" than he is now as "Dwight."
This was an easy one. The best TV Show ever was the Dukes of Hazard. It had a little bit of everything....car chases, mystery, suspense, sex appeal (daisy, of course) a dixie horn, and Waylon Jennings as narrator. For several years, I tried to persuade my mom to weld the doors shut on the family sedan so that I would have to climb in through the windows.
Hmmm, this is a toughie. I've watched a lot of TV in my lifetime, so I don't know if I can narrow it down to one show. Here are my favorite picks:
- Lost - Friends - Frasier - Coach - Newhart - first couple years of Moonlighting - and I would be lying if I didn't say that I have watched every single Saved by the Bell at least five times...sigh.
I probably have 2 favortite shows. The first was Dallas. I love to see rich people suffer like that. The second is M.A.S.H. Probably one of the best shows ever on T.V.
The Simpson's. It has been on for more then half my life, with the exception of boring news shows and game shows, nothing has been on longer. I remember watching the segments on the Tracy Ulman show when I was 10, and I thought it was hysterical, 20 years later, it is still the funniest show on TV.
I gotta go with He-Man. My life as a kid revolved around that show. I pretty much had all the toys. Mom wouldn't let me play with G.I. Joe's because she was afraid I'd want to join the military, so He-Man was the alternative.
I guess I am going to have to say Hee-Haw. It always makes me laugh. If you don't think it is funny then you are stupid. The rest of my top 5 consists of Magnum P.I., A-team, Entourage, How I met your mother, and Deadliest catch. Recently I have been turned on to House and that is quickly moving up the leaderboard.
Ahhh...I'm terribly torn. I'm gonna go with either SATC or Wonder Years. I have this odd feeling that I'm totally forgeting a favorite show, but I guess I should go with what comes to mind first? I know, quite the extremes. They both have that internal dialog thing goin on though. Hmm...I'm pretty sure you didn't ask for an analysis...wawa.
Such a hard question! I grew up on such classics as Saved by the Bell and 90210. And while 90210 did have the illustrious Joe E. Tata, I'd have to say that truly the best show ever was The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. On for only one season, it showcased the wit and charm of Bruce Campbell in a concept that wouldn't have worked without him: a science fiction/western/comedy. Great show.
I would have to say its a tie between Ren & Stimpy and Thundercats. No other TV shows built up the kind of anticipation and enjoyment as those shows. I would have to say that those shows landed in the sweet spot of my TV watching life (circa 1985), where I would have classified myself as a connoisseur of broadcast television.
Notable other TV shows would be the double header of 3 Stooges and bad Kung-Fu after church on Sundays when I was really little, and South Park as an adult.
Hands down the best TV show has got to be Buffy. I mean it had everything, action, comedy, romance, special effects, hot guys and vampires. What more do you need?
Seeing as how you asked two different questions, "What is your favorite show" vs. in the email where you asked what is the greatest show of all time... I will answer what my favorite show is.
Welcome to Survey of the Week, phase II. Help me make this fun for everyone and give us your best answers. Now you have the chance to defend your thoughts!

I have to say HEROS, its the only show I have ever watched faithfully.
The best TV show of all time was THE WIRE on HBO.
"ROBOT CHICKEN", Anyone who can take 70's - 80's toys I played with when I was little and make a whole show out of it is a genuis!
"CSI", Any and all...they are all good for different reasons!
"LAW & ORDER:SVU", Great show equal to CSI's and with great actors!
"FAMILY GUY", everyone loves stupid humor and no one or thing is safe on that show, they pick on anything and everything - even themselves.
Past these I don't watch much else.

The Gilmore Girls. Witty, funny, dramatic. all things that I am. My second place would be, So you think you can dance, Season 2 or 3.
im not good at these "of all time" questions. I dont think they are easy at all. But if I had to pick i would say jeopardy
The Girlmore Girls. Witty, funny and dramatic, All things that I am. My second answer would be So You Think You Can Dance, Seasons 2 and 3
The Gilmore Girls, Witty funny and dramatic, all things I am!
I Love Lucy--she was so funny and so natural. It was all good clean fun!!!
Andy Griffith Show
In honor of Earle Hagen, the writer and whistler of the theme for the show, who died today.

Hands down - Seinfeld. I have seen every episode at least 10 times and I still howl with laughter.
